As many of you know, I’m a bit of a subscription box connoisseur. Who doesn’t like a mailbox full of surprises? I’m especially fond of beauty boxes and I’ve often been asked which is my favorite inexpensive beauty box subscription. I must admit I’ve tried most of them and they all have something to offer, but my pick for Best 10 Dollar Beauty Box for 2018 is hands down Play! By Sephora.

Play! by Sephora January 2018 Review

Now for an example of the beauty box goodness, here are the six beauty products in the Play! by Sephora January (2018) box!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Kristen 

I love the size and shade of this Anastasia lip gloss. It will last a long time and the color is a rosy-nude shade that looks great on pretty much everyone. It’s like my natural lip shade, but better.

This is a great pic for a beauty box because it’s a great brand and a useful beauty staple. Plus, a slightly larger full-size tube costs $16, which for me means my Sephora Play box is paid for with this one product!

GlamGlow Supercleanse Cleanser 

I love how creamy this cleanser is. It has a blend of three charcoals and goes on a very pigmented lavender grey color which is always fun. I didn’t notice too much foaming action going on, but my skin felt smooth and clean.

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream 

I’ve used this Clinique eye cream before and enjoyed it. It has a cooling sensation that I love. It just calms me and my skin right down and removes the puff from my eyes. A little goes a long way, so even though this sample is itty-bitty, it will last for several uses. Who doesn’t love Clinique??

Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel 

This little beauty was the surprise for me in this box. I was shocked at how much dead skin came off with this peel. I have used a ton of different masks and exfoliating products, but I can honestly say this was the most exfoliation I have ever received from a single product. My skin felt totally different after and looked visibly younger. This is a product that I wouldn’t have tried if it wasn’t for Sephora Play, but I will definitely be buying again. SO GOOD!

Ouai Hair Treatment Mask

I’m often let down by hair masks. They promise so much and often don’t deliver. This Ouai treatment mask gets it done. It left my hair shiney and soft, but not weighed down. Again, this is a mask that I would buy again.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer

I think Smashbox has some of the best primers on the market and it’s just genius that they added a moisturizer to this one. There can be so many steps to getting ready in the morning and it’s nice when a hard working product can eliminate one of those steps. My makeup stays put and my skin stays moisturized. Win, win!
